Does anyone know anything about this pepper or where it's seeds may still be bought? Apparently it's a pepper variety that takes 25 days to flower and was developed in 1978 but was discontinued in the 1990's. It's a sweet pepper but it's novelty, compactness and efficiency intrigue me. The plant ittself is so small but it bears fruit larger than the plant itself and occupies little space, I must grow this!

Let's revive this topic, i looked into this "triton-project", and think it's very interesting.
Only problem is, where to find seeds for this, anyone?

That's what i had in mind too, but nevertheless, it's still a capsicum and atleast to me, interesting.
You can think bonchis as a dwarf too, but what about if you germinate a seed, and 2 months later, you have a fruit.. Now that's easy..
If you look at it this way, in Finland we have very short season for outdoor growing, and if everything (the worst case scenario) gets messed at early summer, you'd still be able to have some crop before it's winter again, and all this outdoors.

Or the other way, what if you could cross this with, let's say habanero, and get a nice "bonchi", plus get a nice crop of habaneros, and all this in 2 months :o

What i say is not meant to be taken too seriously
