Thanks
I will try to find the hydroponics clay then. sounds like its easier to work with.
2
seems like biobizz isnt recommended for recirculating systems.

i think i will try floramato dry with floramicro.
3
Okay should i use diamond nectar too?
4
Which is better for ebb and flood systems biobizz or ghe?

5
Im gathering things to start a ebb and flood system.

Does it matter what expanded clay i get?

Can the type of expanded clay you find in the supermarket be used. or does it have to be specifically for hydroponics? the supermarket stuff is cheaper.
6
Mine do too.
Unfortunately my germination rate fell to about half. So only half the seeds germinated.
I then did as i have done before with germination soil and the germination rate was about 85% with the same seeds.

maybe i was unlucky.
7
I ended up getting the 2,5x2,5cm grodan cubes.
They seem big enough. Also bought some biogrow and biobloom to experiment with.
8
I think i will try the 2,5x2,5cm cubes, i get 150 cubes. With  the 3,6x3,6cm ones i only get 77 at the same price.
9
What size cubes and what brand, do you use?

should i use 1,5" or 1" cubes?

where can i buy them?

I dont have the magazine and it was in danish.

In the danish wikipedia it says that if thet treatment is done within a few minutes after the cut it can have some effect. but it dosnt say what product they are talking about.

im still leaning towards bees wax atleast it is not toxic.

I just found a artikel in a magazine that test 15 different salves and out them there was two that didnt do more harm than good. and the two had no real effect. Maybe i should use bees wax after all? i have used clonex before but it dosnt seal properly.

Other growing & lighting / treating wounds after pruning?
marraskuu 14, 2009, 02:45:01 ap
what can be used to treat wounds when pruning the plants.

I used had the problem the about 0.5cm of the branches that were pruned became dry and wilted. This was okay untill they were put in the green house after overwintering. the dried  ends became growing grounds to gray mold.

Could normal wound treatment products for trees(fruittrees) be used to seal up the cuts?

Bees wax dosnt stop fungus.

Other growing & lighting / Vs: Grafting chileplants?

I dont think i can wait, so i sow some seeds in a few weeks, just to try it.

Im thinking of doing it like with tomatoes, cutting both plants at an angle and putting them together with latex tube.

Maybe putting some clonex on the cuts. To make it heal faster seems to work when im pruning the plants.

Has anyone tried grafting two chile plant?
can you graft one kind of chile on to another an have it bear two kind of fruit?

I have read that ascorbic acid helps the plants heal faster, but have should it be used? sprayed on the leaves or watered into the soil.

I researched some more and i think it might be iron
deficiency. That would cause the leaves to loose color.
what do you think?

it dosnt look like mosaic virus does it, on the first picture?

I have never seen burn marks, from the sun like that, on my plants, but maybe.
