Picking first flowers on bonchi?

Hi all.
New chili nerd on-line. Great site with excellent info.
After harvesting I cut down several chilis to bonchi size. They now live in my cellar feeding on LED. And they are doing surprisingly well. One of them, Tapas, has after only 14 days produced approx 10 new flowers (to be). So my question is - should I pick the first 5-7 flowers off or should I leave them on to encourage more yield? Further info is that the plant only produced 2 fruits living in the greenhouse.
