Some photos of pepper flowers made by a digital microscope

Habanero Saint Lucia Island Seasoning (C.chinense)
Seeds germinated November 21 2011. I left 2 seedlings.

First bud rudiments appeared on the 4th February 2012.

First flowers opened on 22d February:

First pods forming:

The first fruit ripened 137 days after seeds germinating:

The taste of Habanero Saint Lucia Island Seasoning's fruit was excellent. The pod was crunchy, juicy and mild hot (1,5-2 points of 10).
The fruits are small (2 x 2,5 cm).

P.S. The plants are growing in 2,7l container indoor under 250W HPS lamp.

Show us your garden! / A couple of C.chinense hybrids
joulukuu 30, 2011, 09:26:04 ap
In the first half of this year I crosspollinated some C.chinense plants.
In the first experiment Pimenta Biquinho de Bico was a mother plant

and father plant was Pink Habanero.

In the second experiment Pimenta Biquinho de Bico was a father plant and Rocotillo (C.chinense) was a mother plant.

On the 3d October first seeds of the both hybrids germinated.
After a month they looked so:

After 40 days from germinating Pimenta Biquinho de Bico X Pink Habanero plant looked so:

43 days passed & man could see a first rudiment of a bud at that plant:

On the 22d November 4 bud rudiments appeared on the Rocotillo X Pimenta_Biquinho de Bico plant:

December 2 Rocotillo X Pimenta Biquinho de Bico's 1st flower opening began:

At the same time Pimenta Biquinho de Bico X Pink Habanero first buds looked so:

On the 9th December Rocotillo X Pimenta Biquinho de Bico's first fruit forming began:

Three days later the first pod began forming at Pimenta Biquinho de Bico X Pink Habanero:

Nowadays the pods of my hybrids look so:
-- Pimenta Biquinho X Pink Habanero

-Rocotillo X Pimenta Biquinho de Bico

P.S. Both hybrid plants have been growing indoor under HPS 250W lamp.

Show us your garden! / Which one is a genuine PI 585239?
huhtikuu 19, 2011, 20:06:42 ip
I'm growing a PI 585239 (C.baccatum) plant (the seeds from Fataliiseeds.net). Pods at my plant looks like this:

But there are two different pod types of PI 585239 at fataliiphoto.net:

Anybody know which one is genuine?  ???

Other discussion / Real chilehead?

According to some reports received from the Chinese Inet-presses, it became known that over the last few years in one of the bio-laboratories of a Chinese agro 第一 日 were conducted experiments on the implementation of parts of human DNA in the genes of some varieties of pepper. The true goal of this research is not yet clear. However, the public domain has already become one (though only one) instance of such a genetically modified pepper.

Show us your garden! / Is it original Clavo?
maaliskuu 24, 2011, 16:13:58 ip
I'm growing a Clavo (C.chinense) plant. It's first mature pods have orange-red colour.

I received my seeds from fataliiseeds.net. But their Clavo pods have another colour...

Is my Clavo chilli pepper plant genuine?

Show us your garden! / A strange hybrid
helmikuu 07, 2011, 15:31:03 ip
Last year a friend of mine gave me seeds of Trinidad Seasoning (C.chinense). I sowed them, they germinated successfully. After a half of month I left only one plant (I'm growing peppers indoors & don't have enough space for all peppers I've got after germinating). Being newbie I didn't notice at first that the seedling had different leaves than a chile pepper seedling  that belongs to C.chinense used to have. The chile plant continued to grow and December 6 2010 it started to bloom. But the flowers were unusual for C.chinense varieties and looked like C.baccatum's flowers but without any yellow-greenish spot:

Despite flowers were full of pollen there were no pods at all. Then I decided to stress the plant (as far as I know some shocked plants "think" they're going to die and begin trying to leave their offspring  as soon as possible). So I cut the top of the plant and put it in vermiculite for rooting. In 20 days the graft had a lot of roots, after a while it flowered and gave some pods (despite the chlorosis of leaves).

Now the biggest one looks like this:

Very strange hybrid isn't it?   :)
Which specie could be involved in forming of this hybrid? The hybrid has 1 or 2 flowers per node. The flower is erect and white but has no yellow-greenish spot inside but they have yellow spots outside:
