Be sure to rinse off the soap well.
That way the plants will stress less than with lots of aphids.

Malathion etc. might help after heavy soaping process (to kill the survivors), but you have to wait for couple of week before the pods can be consumed.
It also smells horrible!

Remember that with lots of aphids you just have to keep fighting them.

My solution for the next year will be preventing aphids with some predator insects in advance.

Yes, I've already learnt the lesson that I'll have to keep fighting them.  But I definitely prefer the mäntysuopa solution... I want to keep my plants free from pesticides.

I always rinse them (by spraying pure cold water) after applying the soap.  From now on I'll keep soaping them every week or so.  I'm just a bit worried about what will happen during my 2½ weeks holiday which will start next week...

I really wouldn't recommend using malathion indoors. It really does smell. Even outdoors you can feel the smell tens of meters away. And it's really bad for your health. You're supposed to wear a gasmask and rubber clothes when using it to avoid any contact.
