What are the odds to make the bonchi grow again and make good yield?
Is is just potting it back to a big bucket and start giving nutrients or does it need a smoother start?
All hints appreciated.
If you mean transferring it back to a big container the odds for it to start growing well are very good!
Actually, the first plants I collect pods from in my greenhouse are plants which are bonchi's that have been turned into "regular plants".
The good root system and perfect trunk will give them a nice head start compared to plants which are still seedlings at the beginning.
For many varietes, making bonchis to produce again, is quite possible. I don't know about differences between variestes, but at least by Aji Cristal and Lemon Drop are producing OK after being bonchi-like during the winter. The third pic of this (http://chilifoorumi.fi/index.php?topic=8757.msg163299#msg163299)post shows the Aji Cristal and Lemon Drop is in the fifth pic of this (http://chilifoorumi.fi/index.php?topic=8757.msg154840#msg154840)post. The LD pic is from two months ago, and the plant is now much bigger.
