Suomen rock-musiikin ylpeyshän on nyt myynyt kotimaassa triplaplatinaa, ja "Once" albumihan hyppäsi suoraan Saksan (maailman 4. suurin musiikkimarkkina) listaykköseksi. Ja jotta tuo ei olisi tarpeeksi, "Once" oli kesällä 2004 Billboard-listojen mukaan koko Euroopan eniten myyty levy..!

Ja syystä. Käykääpä www.amazon.com :ssa tsekkaamassa mitä sadat (!) amerikkalaiset Nightwish-fanit arvosteluissaan tästä levystä sanovat. Muutamaa (kai ärsytysmielessä tehtyä) paska-arvostelua lukuunottamatta nuo jenkkirokkarit antavat poikkeuksetta 4 tai useimmin 5 tähteä, ja viesti on useimmiten: "paras koskaan kuulemani rock-albumi"...

Että sellaista suomirokkia! ;)  Ja jopa suomi-hatun pois ottaen, on pakko yhtyä tuohon ylistykseen. Jo edellinen "Century Child" oli hieno, paikoitellen suorastaan loistava levy. Ei enää heavya tai metallia, vaan jotain sen takana. Musiikkia. Väkevää, kaunista musiikkia...

"Once" jatkaa samaa linjaa, paremmalla tuotannolla ja ainakin yhtä hyvillä biiseillä. Ei ole sattumaa se, että se Lontoon sinfoniaorkesteri joka äänitti myös "Lord of The Rings" -musiikit, nousi Nightwish-sessioiden jälkeen spontaanisti taputtamaan. Sitä ei tapahdu usein...

Tämä on hienoa, kaunista, väkevää musiikkia. Tuleva rock-klassikko - yksi niitä levyjä joihin toisia tullaan vertailemaan. Niin sanoi Lontoon sinfoniaorkesteria ohjannut kapellimestari. Niin sanon itsekin. Sillä tässä liikutaan tasolla mistä on helvetin vaikea parantaa - kenenkään.

Onnittelut Tuomakselle, hienolle ihmiselle joka tekee upeaa musiikkia! Ja koko bändille, sillä kukaan ei tee tällaista yksin!

Kyllähän tuo lätty tuo loistavasti esille Holopaisen säveltäjäntaidot. Kyllä noin isolla budjetilla toisaalta voi odottaakin hyvää materiaalia.
