Otsikko: Mixing micro-nutirents
Kirjoitti: thamnophis - maaliskuu 16, 2006, 04:44:48 ap
I'm trying hydro this year. Last year was my first time growing anything at all, so I'm new to it all, very new to hydro. I've read on this site about mixing the micro-nutrients, differeing proportions at different development stages.

What do people generally do - any special suggestions? I'm using the Hydro flora bloom, gro and micro.

I've been growing chiles in hydro for a long time and I leave micronutrients to the nutrient manufacturer.

Mixing dry nutrients is a nasty and time-consuming business if you want to get it right.

I buy 3-part  pre-mixed solution with the proper trace elements already mixed in, just like you and they work just fine.

Willard, have you tried floramato and floramicro combination?
It's for continously producing perennials, works very well, worth trying!

I used floramato for a while, but it's just a mix of floramicro and florabloom and works about the same as the constituents.

Most of my chiles are over a year old and produce continuously, but I usually have a couple of plants that are new to me. Given this and the fact that they share common nutrient, I rarely have the need to increase nitrogen or phosphorous to encourage plant or fruit growth.

My mix is almost always 1-1-1 floramicro, floragrow and florabloom and I stay at 500 ppm or thereabouts.
