Now you can join the Finnish Chili Association. The National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland has made the association official on January 8th 2007. A few perks include a membership discount from Viherpeukku (www.viherpeukku.fi, a grow shop), annual chili festivals, access to the association's up-and-coming seed bank, etc.

Membership fees are as follows:

- yearly membership fee for members of more than 15 years of age and above: 15€
- yearly membership fee for members under 15 years of age: 5€

- a one-time joining fee of either
-- 5€, if the joining member wants the starter package (a small assortment of chili seeds and a small growing guide) in addition to the membership card, etc.
-- 3€, if the joining member only wants the benefits + member card, without the starter package

For example:

- Under 15, no starter package: 8€
- Under 15, with starter package: 10€

- Over 15, no starter package: 18€
- Over 15, with starter package: 20€

Membership applications are currently accepted via e-mail. You should email the following personal details:

- full name
- date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
- mailing address
- e-mail address
- nickname (if you're active here @ Inferno)
- parental approval for members under 15 years of age

Email this information to hallitus@chiliyhdistys.info or chiliyhdistys@gmail.com.

Once the application has been processed, the association board verifies the members and delivers payment information to the applicant via e-mail.
