Yes, they are very slow to ripen. I grew a similar one last year that a friend got from a Peruvian market in Milan. I brought the plant inside and it finally ripened--date of picture 11/28

It looks like aji amarillo. Maybe it is a same chili.
"Amarillo" means yellow. Both are from peru.
Yes--yellow pepper and that's what we call it "Aji Amarillo from Peruvian market"
