chilli goes postal!

a guy from la rioja in spain has been kind enough to send me a local variety: alegrías riojanas. novelty is the postal format, a grown plant rather than seed! the method is ingenious: soil is wrapped in a wet paper towel, protected in a plastic bag and attached to the bottom of the box with duct tape. it took 2 days to arrive and an extra one for me to pick it up. thus, 3 days in a box in complete darkness was enough to show a great deal of negative gravitropism!

I'm pretty sure it will survive. Chilies are strong plants, which can tolerate almost anything.

Are there several plants together? Looks like there are multiple stems.

Heheh, yes, that is a good way to share leftover plants, or rooted plants.

I received a c. flexuosum from fatalii last wednesday, it wasn't packed that well in a cardboard box, but it was instead in a cd case, which was sealed pretty well. It has survived perfectly, and the postage cost only the prize of two stamps
