yes I have noticed, they are taller than all the plants, also there is one that is growing slighly different from the rest.....maybe a hybrid???

lee

Looks good G , some plants might need some repotting though.

Thanks Talas,
I just can't help myself, I just gotta grow them to see what they're like.
Today I was about to prune the Puta Pario as Its getting a bit lanky ,
it's just in a small white cup and only 2 months old from when I first planted the seed and I just noticed its first flower bud...

JungleRain

Just a short update on 2 Pepper plants;
The first one is the Puta Pario, C. Chacoence.
It was sown on 27/05/2009 and has already begun to flower.
The Second one is of the Rocoto de Seda, C. Pubescens.
It was also sown on 27/05/2009, it's about 5 in of 120 mm high.

What is the point with the chamomil tea and soaking the seeds in it for less then a day?

It would be nice to see what kind of huge greenhouse you have reserved to grow this jungle of yours as the both the numbers plants and variaty is mindblowing.

Hi MikaK,
The reason I use the Chamomile tea is because the tannins in tea are meant to soften the seed casing and are believed to be behind the success of this method. As several growers have reported that Chamomile tea is particularly good as the teas anti fungal properties are said to reduce the problem of damping off. Whether this has been proven though I'm not sure, how ever if it does help then great, if not then still nothing lost.
As for the huge Greenhouse, I don't have (though it would be nice to have). The plants are indoors at the moment and will go outside in pots and direct to the soil, since the weather in Austalia where I am fromonly gets to its lowest in winter at 1c and thats not too often, but in Summer it can get very hot, 40c and we have a long growing season where we can grow for around 9 months in the south, however in the north it is possible to grow all year round.
I just hope I can grow so many with out too many problems, I guess time will tell...

Thanks Fatalii,
I have a few varieties of C. Pubescens that are very hairy like that,
this is my first time growing the  Habanero Guadelope Black as it is with most of what I've planted this season
but I have seen some pics of it and they are very dark.
