Hi Guys,

Following another successful harvest of Naga Morich chilli peppers, I am delighted to report that we have now completed batch No5 of our well recieved Naga 'Snake Bite' Chilli Sauces.

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/__naga-snake-bite_W0QQ_nkwZnagaQ20snakeQ20biteQQQ5ftrkparmsZ39Q253A1Q257C66Q253A2Q257C65Q253A1QQ_dmptZUKQ5fHomeQ5fGardenQ5fFoodQ5fSMQQ_psizeZ3QQ_sopZ2QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14?_trksid=p3286.c0.m14[/color]

If you have not come across our three sauces before they are:

1. Naga Snake Bite 'Original
- This is a hot & spicy sauce which has won many rave reviews for its unique and inventive recipe which maximises the unique smell & fruity  tones of these deadly but delicious peppers. Fantastic on Pizza's and Cheese & toast!

                                   The Carlsberg of chilli sauce!!
                                              EBAY Buyer

2. Naga Snake Bite Private 'Reserve'
- This is our best selling sauce and our most famous sauce to date. It has been featured widely on hot sauce review sites, on TV and in many UK newspapers as 'the worlds hottest natural sauce!'. The fearsome sauce is not for the faint hearted but even a small amount will turn the blandest curry or chilli con carne into a raging inferno. Just beautiful!

'This Sauce produces a euphoric bliss..the heat just kept pounding me'
                                      The Hot Zone Online

' The flavour is fantastic with these little bottles of pain
                                 delivering 54 minutes of burning'

                                 The Hot Sauce Blog

3. Naga Snake Bite 'Pure Venom'6.6m SHU Edition
-This is our newest and most outrageous creation. Described by some buyers as 'Nuclear or Weapons Grade' this sauce is not to be messed  with. The sauce is based on the Private Reserve but contains additional Naga Morich Pods, Bih Jolokia paste and a 6.6m Scoville Oleoresin for good measure. At approximately 2000x hotter than Tabasco sauce, it is perfect for wiping out cocky mates who claim 'they can eat anything' . A firm favorite at stag parties!!

For those that have bought them previously, I hope you enjoyed them//

Two more victims have been claimed::lol: '

theHot Pepper.com
' The naga flavor, of course, is huge, and the burn is crazy. After about a minute my throat is just in flames, but strangely my mouth is ok. Exhaling hurts my throat, and I've got just a thin sheen of sweat on the sides of my nose by my eyes. This is the point where glasses get foggy'

http://www.thehotpepper.com/showthread.php?t=6877

thehotzoneonline.com
'Its a creeping heat and it actually made my gums hurt. Yes folks, that is a first for me, and I'v''e had a lot of extract sauces....... it's a staggeringly good sauce!'

This is why I love making super hot sauces. I definately have an evil streak in me  :evil

Hi Aji,

If the source gave you nightmares, god help you if you even have the misfortune to be a Pure Venom victim. With about 20 whole Nagas + Naga concentrate + bih jolokia paste & powder + a 6.4m SHU extract for good measure in each bottle 'Pure Venom' really is quite frightening. You can find out more information on both our new sauces here:

Hello everyone,

For those of you that enjoyed our Original Recipe (Naga Snakebite Extreme) and our even hotter 'Private Reserve' chilli sauces we bring you some good news, the ultimate Naga Morich based chilli sauce will soon be available.

99% of people who were brave enough to try our Private Reserve loved it but to our surprise some of the hard core chilli heads amongst you said the sauce was very hot, but not hot enough!!. At first we thought you were joking and that you couldn't possible want more heat than the Private Reserve - each bottle stuffed with ten whole fresh naga morich pods. Rising to the challenge, we have locked ourselves away in thechileman laboratory and we are very close to bringing you our new sauce - NAGA SNAKEBITE 'PURE VENOM' 6.4m SHU Edition

Whats it like?
Well to make sure this one lives up to all the hype we have really gone to town on this one!!

Amongst the many ingredients are the usual Naga Morich pods (but shed loads of them), Bih Jolokia powder, concentrated Naga paste and if that wasent enough a 6.4m SHU Extract. Its like the Private Reserve on steroids!!

Ive already tested it out on a few Vindaloo/Phall curry loving mates and they  likened it to peeling off all the skin of your lips and then drinking a boiling hot cup of tea. Well that was after they stopped crying   . Its an absolute belter.

As a fellow asthmatic, personally i think its almost inedible and for the serious hot sauce head/ collector only.

Unfortunately due to fumes from making it, the very high cost of some of the ingredients (particluarly the vile of 6.4m SHU extract) and a transportation disaster, there are only going to be a very small number of bottles available (less than 30) so it promises to be a collectors edition :-(

I might make something similar in the future if there is the demand.

on a brighter note...........

A New & Improved 'Private Reserve' also to released shortly
Ive also listened to you guys and have improved the original 'Private Reserve' recipie a sauce which mere mortals like myself can bearly handle. Its even hotter than the original and has been thinned out so thats it got a much smoother consistancy and is easier to pour whilst maintaining its unique taste. Im sure this one will also meet with your approval. Despite the higher ingredient costs Ive kept the price the same.

We are now taking pre-release orders for the new & improved 'Private Reserve' on the chileman site. Both will be released shortly

Please note that all purchasers of  'Pure Venom' MUST AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING DISCLAIMER:

Hi Guys,

Batch 4 of my Naga Snakebite Sauce 'Private Reserve' has now been released on ebay. Ive upper the Naga content to around 15 per bottle (the price remains the same) and the consistency is slightly tinner than the original.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Naga-Morich-Ch...QQcmdZViewItem

The draw back is that as I have used more Naga than I intend I do not have enough left to make a decent run of Naga Concentrate

Enjoy

Wild Chiles / C. praetermissum (aka. Cumari)
kesäkuu 02, 2007, 11:35:15 ap
Hi Guys,

I totally agree with the confusion and inaccurate naming conventions. Thiswas one of the main drives behind the creation of the chileman database to try and add some order to naming conventions. Its an almost impossibel take though

Does anyone no anything about Cumari do Para? I think it was the USDA that lists it as a Chinense.

Hi Everyone,

Here is a close up picture of a mock up bottle of our new Naga Snakebite Extreme Sauce. You can almost see the Naga fumes seaping out the bottle.

Imaguitargod (one of our friends on the hot pepper forum) stupidly ate 1 Naga in his infamous thread.

Imagine what a sauce with upto 10 Fresh Naga Morich peppers in it tastes like

More info (for those interested) can be found on thechileman site (www.thechileman.org).

Hi Maxpowa,

After the mice finshed with my black pearl plant there is little left to bury/burn except for a 1 inch stump

I planted up a few hundred more seeds (and put plenty of mouse traps down)  so hopefully I'll still get a great crop before the season is over.

Shame about the Trinidad Scoripons, 7 pod, CGN 19198, Lanceloteum and the other rare pepper seeds people were kinf enough to send me.

Theres always next year though

Hi John,

That would be any of the varieties you listed that has 'Description currently unavailable' next to the entry in the database.

Feel free to update the descriptions in the database using the passwords I gave you. Don't go out of you way though as its a massive undertaking. It will take years of just plodding along, putting in more info as and when I find it. I must be mad!!

Hi John,

Due the lack of space. Im only planting 1 or 2 seeds of each variety this year. If I dont get a healthy plant, their is always next year wink:

Ive updated the database with some of the varieties we were missing. Unfortunately I havent had time to find out more information on them yet though.

Hi Guys,

I too are growing out CGN 19198 and Capsicum Lancelotum this year to try and provide further photographic and documentary evidence for you Guys to interpret.

I'll try an update the database this afternoon with Johns info to make sure it is as accurate as possible

That is one hell of a list of peppers John. What on earth do you do with them all? After all there are only so many plants you can given away to friends? You must have 100's of friends

Hi Guys,

Ive been reading and looking at all your seedling posts & pictures with envy over the last few weeks. Many of you already have nice, healthy looking little and seedlings and plants whilist my seeds have had to make do with dreaming of finding a home in some nice soft compost.

Im getting married later this year and thats taken up more of my time than the chillis recently

However, Ive finally off my priorities straight   and have planted up 35 of so varieties this morning. Im opted for my usual electric blanket, propergator method and hope to post some pics soon.

Ive also updated my blog, which you can find here:

http://thechileman.blogspot.com/

Hope your seedlings are coming along nicely. Speak to you soon
