Hello everyone :)
I live in Finland (as does Fatalii). Inspired by reading about his experience of growing chiles, I ordered some seeds and tried to germinate them.
In Finland, in summer time, we have enough sunlight 'cause sun is shining from April abt. 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. And rest of year, spring, autumn and winter there is not enough sunlight to grow anything. In the middle of winter (end of December) there are only 2 hrs of sunlight IF there are no clouds :( That's why we must use artificial lighting if we want to grow anything here. It is also a reason why vegetables grown here could be twice expensive compared to prices e.g. in Spain.
I bought a system called AeroGarden (expensive >:() It's an automated system which rotates water and switches lights on and off. Because I work at daytime there is no one to take care of my plants.
Only trouble in waterfarming system is to find out how much nutrients to give and how to keep PH in optimal level. In my experience it varies when plant reach new level of growing.
One of my plant is Malawi Bird's Eye (MBE). Here are some pictures of MBE growing indoors from 26th of March 'til today.

23th of May 2009. I have only tiny little space to grow chiles so I have to cut them by 'Machete'.

8th of June 2009, you can see some other buds ready to mature to pods (eight counted today 9th of June :))
Looks like a promising start... and guess what, you started with the same variety as I did! :)
Keep on going!
I should Thank You !!! I've been studying a couple of years reading your sites before I dare to germinate any chile seeds! Well you can see lots of heritage after Your Royal Honest of Chilegrowing Global King ;D ;D ;D You cannot find anywhere else such person who will give for granted so much time and information of chiles and growing of them. We really salute You, Sir Fatalii :) :D ;D
OMG. :D you make an "old" man blush.
Very nice to hear my site has been useful for you in any way.
I will enjoy making more stuff there even more in the future! Thanks! :)

Hmm, Fatallii does ring a bell though. Who is he :)
Hi lee, haven't you been watching US Open ??? He is very good player :o
Tennis, I thought he played ball :)
;D
He's got the biggest balls in the world ;)
+1,
But hey we should stay on topic ;D. Off course Fatalii is the Guru, and anyone that says "I haven't read Fatalii's instructions" is a liar :D.
You have great natural enviroment to grow almost anything! Your chiles really rocks :).
Lack of space and sun, in my case, makes my plants so small :( . But I think it's always PASSION which gives you strenght to grow chiles anywhere anytime. Have a nice season lee ;)
Yeah dude, passion for growing is the word!
Eating chiles is always very enjoyable and fun but growing them... damd, thats where the real passion is!
Klopisto, well said!
Pure and simple: It comes from you heart 8).

Same to you ;)
Brack :), yip :), yawn :). As they say: Let there be Rock. And chiles...
By the way, I red something like this: "Don't grow plants, let the plants grow You".
Now I know why I became happier after intrested in chiles ;D.
I think for anyone's mental health everyone should try to grow something and learn about themselves :)
Interesting to see you using an Aerograden for growing peppers and might get me one seeing your example :)
Hello out there :)
A least someone rocognised my equipment ;).
It's quite expensive but I work at the day time and there are no one to take care of my children and time to time I've something else to do. That's why I found it very practical for my use.
I know flowing water is good and I think those lamps/lights are not bad either :).
Only thing is to take care of PH -level and to find complement ratio of nutrients.
Quite simple, ain't it 8)
[edit] There are some more pictures at Finnish site, I know You need no Finnish language, pictures tells everything necessary :).

For working person AeroGarden is number One. You have to take care of cutting (by Machete)... If there is a lack of space, there are not much to do... cutting by M...). You should not to be scared to cut down Your plants, eachs of them !!!
AeroGarden any experience ??? I'll do. See pictures abowe.
Been keeping an eye on a few people using aeros and looking at getting an elite with the larger height fixing, cousin grows lettuce in his and the growth rate is superb :)
Hey Talas :)!
I checked AeroGarden site today and they have made some major updates of their products and equipments :).
Deluxe with extended growing height looks much better than mine Classic and I'm sure it is better. And better lamps are not able to connect these old ones :(.
You told Your cousin grows lettuce and he is pleased? I think AeroGarden is good if You grow those smaller chiles e.g. Shor Yellow Tabasco, Malawi Bird's Eye, Inca Red Drop etc. I had one Starfish growing for a while, but it's so big it won't fit in same place with small ones.
I think AeroGarden is a good and reliable consept to grow almost anything. Tomatos, herbs, berries and so on.
I'll recommend You to try one!
Thx for the info Klopisto yes the aero looks perfect for the variety's you have mentioned ;)
